Required when you need NIRA to verify your citizenship — for example, when applying for a passport or correcting details on your National ID.

📋 Requirements

1. 👥 Appear before the Local Citizenship Verification Committee in your village of origin.
2. 📝 Complete the Citizenship Verification Form available on the NIRA website — must be signed by the LC1 Chairperson, GISO/DISO, and an Elder/Senior Citizen, then authenticated by the NIRA District Official.
3. 🆔 Provide a copy of the National ID of either parent — or, if both parents are deceased, of a living blood relative.
4. 💰 Fees applicable: Nil.
